    HRH Princess Lalla Salma, Chairwoman of the Lalla Salma Foundation for Cancer Prevention and Treatment, received, on Monday at the headquarters of the Lalla Salma Foundation in Rabat, Marième Faye Sall, First Lady of Senegal and President of the ''Servir le Sénégal'' Foundation.

    The purpose of this visit is to study the modalities for the establishment of a partnership in the fight against cancer between the Lalla Salma Foundation and the ''Servir le Sénégal'’ Foundation, the Lalla Salma Foundation said in a statement.

    After the presentation of the two Foundations, several cooperation fields and projects were identified.

    It concerns, among others, the promotion of information campaigns among professionals and citizens, especially vulnerable populations, on all issues related to cancer, the training of health professionals in the field of the fight against cancer, the implementation of a programme of early detection of breast and cervical cancer in Senegal, the strengthening of the pediatric oncology programme to improve access to the treatment for children with cancer and technical assistance for the creation of a cancer care home in Dakar, the same source said. A joint committee will be set up to coordinate all activities of the project, the statement added.

    The meeting was attended by Senegal's Ambassador in Morocco, Advisors of the First Lady of Senegal and members of the board of directors of the Lalla Salma Foundation.

     

     At the end of this audience, Senegal's First Lady visited the Moulay Abdellah oncology hospital.
