Voluntary work program


The Lalla Salma Foundation has implemented, at Her Highness the Princess Lalla Salma’s behest, a well organized voluntary work program through which she had called for a mobilization that transcends the financial generosity and asks all citizens, those who are ready to share their experience or those who are ready to devote their time, to do good activities for the sake of people in need.

Since 2011, a methodological framework for the implementation of voluntary work program was drawn up and the preparation lasted almost one year in order to launch the first pioneer plan in January 2012 of pediatric Hematological-ontological department (PHOD) of Rabat. Subsequent to the success achieved and the positive echo of the program and particularly its impact on patients, the Foundation started its expansion in many regions of the kingdom with the ambition to the widespread throughout the national territory.

RECRUITMENT PROCEDURES


Registration : visit the website of Lalla Salma Foundation and go to the heading : « become a volunteer » in which an application form will be put at your disposal. Once filled, click on “send”. Request processing: Your request will be processed as soon as possible, and an answer will be sent to your address mail for any additional information related to registration.

Recruitment committee : A recruitment interview will be held with a committee consisting of a member of the Foundation, the program manager, facilitator and psychologist with the aim of deciding the suitability of your profile with the purposes of the Foundation’s volunteer program.

Probationary period : A two-month probationary period on the field will be prepared for you during which you will be accompanied by a “senior” volunteer and you can get in touch with all volunteers by means of volunteer groups on social networks.

Evaluation and the signing of the charter : After going through this basic training, another evaluation meeting is set to assess your work and sign if you are finally approved the voluntary charter. Training : Training sessions will be organized throughout the year.

- To be over 18 years of age.

- Do not have other purposes than volunteering.

- To be freely committed to carry out an action in favor of others, self-employed, not subject to the obligation of the law, out of your professional and familial time.

- Knowing how to aptly analyze your practice of volunteering and pointing out any room for improvement.

    HRH Princess Lalla Salma, Chairwoman of the Lalla Salma Foundation for Cancer Prevention and Treatment, chaired, here Monday, the Board of Directors of the Lalla Salma Foundation.

    On this occasion, the Council examined the 2015 financial statements and the management reports to be submitted to the Annual General Assembly of the Foundation.

    The year 2015 was marked by the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Foundation, which was an opportunity to take stock of ten years of struggle against cancer. 

    3 October 2015 will remain a memorable day in the annals of the Foundation. Under the chairmanship of HRH Princess Lalla Salma, the Foundation organized a gala dinner under the theme "Donate for Life". The funds collected, intended initially to create a cancer center in Beni Mellal, exceeded the financing requirements of the project, enabling the Foundation to build a cancer center in the city of Laayoune. 

    The year 2015 was also marked by the opening of the Institute of Cancer Research in Fez, as well as Morocco's accession to the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization. Several research projects have been identified between the two Institutes, which will begin in 2016. A computerized platform was also developed to process calls for projects with a powerful management support and facilitate assessments by international experts. 

    This momentum was possible thanks to the confidence and the support of partners and donors of the Lalla Salma Foundation, to whom the Council expressed their thanks and recognition. 

    All these "positive" achievements are the result of the policy of good governance and management implemented for years by the Foundation. the Foundation will further strengthen good governance and service quality.
